Membership
& Qualification: |
Twenty-one members, one-halfof whom must be made up of consumers of services, low income and minority persons shall be represented in proportion to their number in the area; one representative of San Mateo County nutrition project. The majority of the commissioners must be over 60 years of age.

3 years; maximum of 12 years |
| Duties: |
Advises the Board of Supervisors, develops and conducts programs in conformity with specific provisions of Older Americans Act of 1965 subject to approval of the Board of Supervisors.

| Appointment: |
Board of Supervisors. Interviews are conducted by the Board of Supervisors or the Appointments Committee. Composition of Appointments Committee: one person each selected by President Board of Supervisors, Chair Commission on Aging, Community College District Senior Advisory Committee, Retired Seniors Volunteer Program (RSVP) and the Senior. |
