The Health Education And Risk Reduction Training (HEAR2T) Program helps employees to reduce their risk of heart attack and stroke.

The HEAR2T Program can give you the information to stay healthy or to get healthier. Check out our programs and trainings!

The HEAR2T Program is modeled after the highly successful and nationally recognized Stanford HEAR2T Program - a federally funded research project based at San Mateo County in the late 1990s.  To learn more about the Stanford HEAR2T Program and its impact in helping County employees and retirees improve their health, click here.

The County has continued the HEAR2T Program under the direction of the Employee Health & Fitness Program. The HEAR2T Program is co-managed by Susan Vana, the Program's Nurse Coordinator, and by Pamela Gibson, the Employee Health Program Coordinator.

The Board of Supervisors supports your participation in this program. To read the Board letter announcing this program, click here.
