In partnership with county agencies, community organizations and Gibson and Associates, we have completed a county-wide needs assessment of linguistic access to health care services in San Mateo County. Key findings and recommendations point to some promising approaches as well as areas of significant concern. As a Health Department, we are committed to improving the accessibility of health and health-related services for residents who have limited English proficiency (LEP).
