SAN MATEO COUNTY TO HOST PANDEMIC INFLUENZA SUMMIT ON MAY 18 AND 19

| WHAT: |
San Mateo County will host a two-day pandemic influenza summit to develop public-private partnerships and build community resilience in the wake of a global epidemic.
Day one of the summit will focus on risk, science and policy and is designed for health care professionals. Day two will bring together stakeholders (elected officials, city managers, emergency management, law enforcement, fire/EMS, hospitals, education, transportation, business and faith- and community-based organizations) to educate them about pandemic influenza and the county's response plan, to assess the community's preparedness plans and to coordinate disaster planning between the private and public sectors.
