2007 TRANSITION TO INDEPENDENCE FAIR SLATED FOR MARCH 7

San Mateo County Community Event Highlights Programs and Services Designed to Help Disabled Adults Gain Independence

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. - The 2007 San Mateo County Transition to Independence Fair will be held on Wednesday, March 7 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the San Mateo County Office of Education, located at 101 Twin Dolphin Drive in Redwood City. The event, hosted by the San Mateo County Commission on Disabilities, the San Mateo County Office of Education and the Community Gatepath, is free of charge and open to the public.

Disabled youth and adults and their families will have an opportunity to speak with representatives from a variety of service agencies and to learn about getting ready for college or work, housing options for independent living, benefits and legal issues.
