The Commission on Disabilities invites people with disabilities and others from the community to attend Commission general meetings and to serve as ex-officio members on committees.

Commission general meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of each month from 3:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. at the Health Services Agency located at 225 W. 37th Avenue - San Mateo, California (no meetings in August and December). Please refer to the Committee page for times and dates.

This is an excellent opportunity for those who are dedicated and committed to improving the quality of life for people with disabilities throughout San Mateo County.

Serve as a Commissioner

If you are aware of the needs of people with disabilities through life or work experience or have a family member with a disability and are a resident of San Mateo County, you are welcome to apply.

Commissioners are required to attend the general meeting and serve as a committee member or serve in an approved liaison position. All meeting are held during the day, there are no night meetings. Please refer to Committee page for times and dates.

Overall Time Commitment ------ Between 8 to 12 Hours per Month.
