The San Mateo County web site is currently being upgraded for an improved user experience.
The County Home page and a few departments are implementing the new "look and feel"
along with an improved search and other new features.
Please be aware that a number of departments
will continue to retain the former user interface during this transition period.

Home health agencies and certain employment services can help secure home care providers. Home care employment services assist in hiring a caregiver. Home health agencies assign their own employees.
When selecting an agency, you may want to consider:
|
- Level of care
- Screening process
- Minimum hours
- Fees
- License
- Replacement of caregiver
|
- Termination of service
- Follow-up assistance
- Payment (Medicare, Medi-Cal, private pay, private insurance, Health Maintenance Organization [HMO])

HOME CARE EMPLOYMENT SERVICES
These services recruit, screen and refer certified nursing assistants, home health aides and attendants. You interview, hire and pay the caregiver. The service may charge a placement fee. Phone your local senior center for additional resources.
