Preschool for All - San Mateo County ensures access for all three- and four-year-olds to high quality care and education that promotes success in school and life.

There are currently two sites that pilot the program.

  • Garfield Elementary Charter School, 3600 Middlefield Road, Menlo Park
  • Roosevelt Elementary School, 2223 Vera Avenue, Redwood City

The program will be offered free of charge to children who:

  1. Are four-years old (must have turned four years by 12/1/04
  2. Live within the Redwood City Elementary School District boundaries
  3. Are not currently enrolled in any other preschool program.

Additionally, 10% of Preschool for All spaces will be prioritized for four year olds who have special needs or disabilities. An application for the program is available at the San Mateo County Office of Education http://www.smcoe.k12.ca.us/cyfs/pfa.html.
