Information and Assistance TIES line (1-800-675-8437) - provides 24-hour information, advice and emergency response for seniors and adults with disabilities.
Network of Care for Seniors and People with Disabilities - a Web site that provides information on a wide variety of services designed to help people live with independence and dignity.
Adult Protective Services - investigates reports of abuse against seniors and dependent adults, including self-neglect.
Public Guardian - serves frail elderly adults and adults with physical or mental disabilities which result in their being unable to provide for their needs for health care, food, clothing or shelter and/or unable to manage their own finances or resist fraud or undue influence.
Multipurpose Senior Services - provides social and health care management to people 65 or older who are eligible for Medi-Cal. The program aims to keep clients living independently in the community and to prevent or delay placement in a nursing facility.
Linkages - provides case management as well as information and assistance services to frail, at risk seniors and adults with functional impairments who are 18 and older.
AIDS Case Management - provides comprehensive case management and home and community-based services to individuals with AIDS or symptomatic HIV.
In-Home Supportive Services - provides homecare services to Medi-Cal eligible aged, blind or disabled individuals, including children, that assist them to remain safely in their own homes as an alternative to out-of-home care.
Representative Payee - manages the government benefits of individuals who are unable to do so for themselves on an on-going basis.
Ron Robinson Senior Care Center - a new outpatient health center located on the first floor of the San Mateo Medical Center and designed for older adults in San Mateo County. The Center includes both primary care and geriatric assessment.
Help at Home Directory lists information on the whole range of home and community-based services available in San Mateo County.
Area Agency on Aging coordinates planning, coordination, funding, and advocacy for seniors and disabled adults in the county.
Commission on Aging - a 21-member volunteer group of seniors, service providers and other interested persons appointed by the Board of Supervisors to represent the interests of seniors in San Mateo County.
