The first step in planning a job search involves getting to know your self. Self-assessment is an important step since it relates how well you present yourself to employers. Individual assessment is the first step in the Career Planning Process. Therefore, finding the right job begins with identifying the right job skills. Taking a series of assessment instruments can assist in this process.
Assessment instruments, often called tests, can be taken in order to clarify interests, preferred working environments, and preferred working style and their implications for career/vocational choices. These instruments are divided into two categories: Vocation/Career Tests and Personality Type Instruments.
